Ryan Holmes, DDS Co-Founder
Ryan Holmes received his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from Loma Linda University, School of Dentistry. After dental school, he was commissioned as a Lieutenant in the United States Navy and practiced general dentistry, including tours aboard the aircraft carrier USS John C. Stennis and at the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD. Following six years of Active Duty he transitioned to the United States Navy Reserve in order to pursue further education in Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology.
Dr. Holmes completed a residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology at Stony Brook University School of Dental Medicine, leading to a certificate in Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology. He is an active member of several professional organizations including: American Dental Association, American Dental Education Association, Radiological Society of North America, Idaho State Dental Association, American Society of Forensic Odontology, and the American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology. He is board-eligible by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology.
Dr. Holmes continues to serve with the Navy Reserves as a Lieutenant Commander in the 4th Dental Battalion, U.S. Marine Corps Forces Reserve. In his free time he enjoys traveling, building computers, ballroom dancing, exploring the outdoors, and spending time with his wife, son, and two dogs Sherlock and Watson.
James Rock, DMD Co-Founder
As a Timberline High School graduate in 2005, Dr. James Rock grew up in Boise and has always called Boise home. He completed his Bachelor of Science degree at Brigham Young University-Idaho and earned a Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from Western University of Health Sciences. Even as a dental student, Dr. Rock was recognized nationally by the American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology (AAOMR) for his unique interest and accomplishment within the specialty, presenting at both local and national levels.
Dr. Rock completed a residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology at UCLA, where he served as chief resident of the Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology Department. He is an active member of several professional organizations including: American Dental Association, American Dental Education Association, Radiological Society of North America, Idaho State Dental Association, American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology, and is board-eligible by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology.
Dr. Rock enjoys being a specialist. He loves that being a specialist allows him to provide valuable and understandable insight in providing patients and other dental professionals more predictable care and peace of mind.
Outside of work, Dr. Rock loves spending time with his family. He loves golf, watersports, and anything to do with cars. He is also fluent in Spanish.
